African Entomology has recently published South Africa’s fourth decadal review on biological control of invasive alien plants in South Africa covering the years 2011 till 2020. Well done to Iain Paterson (RU CBC), Alana Den Breeÿen (ARC), Grant Martin (RU CBC, UFS ARU) and Terry Olckers (UKZN) for compiling and contributing to a great piece of work. The issue, African Entomology Volume 29, Issue 3, consists of 24 papers covering all the aspects of weed biological control in South Africa. There is no doubt that this work will be sited regularly and hopefully it will go beyond the pages and utilised accordingly. To see what is in the issue and download individual papers, click here. The full issue can be downlowded here.

In these 24 papers, there are seventy-five target weed species covered and insights into the development of regulations, mass-rearing, implementation and community engagement reviewed. These papers show progress in biological control research and implementation. We trust you will enjoy reading these papers and sharing them with your networks.
